REVAMP THE APPERANCE OF YOUR KITCHEN!

Pelling paint, dull surfaces, grease stains, and rusty hinges? Just a few reasons you should consider professional cabinet painting. When you walk into your kitchen the first thing you see are your cabinets. Dingy and dirty cabinets may detract from the beauty of the room.

While painting your cabinet may seam like a simple small task, this couldn't be further then the truth. It takes a lot of patience and attention to properly paint cabinets. If you do not do it right the first time, you will find yourself repainting in the near future. This is why you should hire professionals like Tru Colors. We will take our time and do it properly and won't stop until you are satisfied.

DIFFERENT TYPES OF KITCHEN CABINETS

Most homeiwners believe they have simple, plain wood cabinets. This is most likely true, to an extent, however tere are many different types of woo, each of them requires a different approach when painting. you will need to know if your cabinets are solid wood, plywood, particle board, or something else before paintingthem. You will also need to know weather you have vaneers or laminate. If you use the wrong type of paint on yur cabinets, it will peelor chip prematurely. You should never buy a can of paint without knowing the type of surface you are p;anting.

STEPS REQUIRED FOR PERFECTLY PAINTED CABINETS:

  1. Remove all hinges, knobs, and drawer pulls.
  2. Take off the cabinet doors.
  3. Clean any grease or grime with heavy duty cleaner.
  4. Sand down any rough spots or imperfections. You may also need to sand down the cabinet if they were previously painted with  gloss paint.
  5. Fill holes and grooves to smooth out the surface.
  6. Prime the surface.
  7. Paint inside and outside of the cabinets.
  8. Let the paint dry and repeat with the second coat.
  9. Wait some more and follow up with a top coat.
  10. Wait even longer for the top coat to dry.
  11. Hang the cabinet doors and reinstall the hardware.

After reading this list, you can imagine how long it would take to actually complete this process, and this is another reason why it would be a wise decision to hire Tru Colors to tackle this disoriented job for you.
