stucco painting

IMPROVE THE APPARNCE OF YOUR HOME WITH PROFESSIONAL STUCCO PAINTING

Do you want to change the color of your stucco painting? While painting your home is a great idea, you shouldn't attempt to paint stucco on your own. Stucco painting takes a lot of training and experience. You may feel tempted to buy some paint and roll on a fresh coat, but you won't get the same result that a professional painter will provide.

PAINTING STUCCO IS TRICKER THAN IT SEEMS

Many homeowners think painting is an easy job. Maybe since everyone learns how to use watercolors in grade school we assume painting a house is just as simple. However, painting stucco requires more skill than coloring within the lines. Here are some steps we take to achieve professional results.

  • Clean your stucco : You can't paint a dirty surface, so we use a power washer to rinse away any dirt, debris, algae, or mildew. However, stucco walls are very fragile, so we take extra care. If the water pressure is too high it can damage the surface.
  • Inspect your stucco : We don't just try to cover up surface imperfections. Not only would this lead to poor results but it could also lead to potential leaks. We always fill any damaged areas with waterproof compound to ensure no water can seep inside.
  • Repair or replace you stucco : Any damaged stucco must be repaired or replaced before adding any paint.
  • Prime your stucco : A layer or primer is a necessity. The purpose of primer is to seal the surface to help the paint adhere.
  • Paint your stucco : Now that the surface is ready to paint, we paint with high-quality paint that is both durable and water resistant.

Rushing through this process will only lead to inferior results. If you don't address any damage you can find yourself dealing with water leaks or mold problems. Our licensed and insured painters have all the hands-on experience needed to tackle any painting job you send our way. When we leave your stucco will look brand new, and you will have the best looking house in the neighborhood.
